Why 2022 will be so much better than 2021

2021 was a challenging year. For some more than others but we’ve all had to take tough choices and make certain sacrifices along the way. But after two years of living under the cloud of a Pandemic, I am tired — not tired of Covid or its impact on everything from healthcare to the economy — but tired of feeling hopeless, cynical, or even angry with what’s going on. I am tired of thinking that my sustained negative emotional state will somehow make things better.

If today you are worried about a virus, your income, or an asteroid hitting earth, you’re not alone. But sheer misery in numbers is not an antidote to depression — it’s a hindrance. So this new year, let’s strive to be more positive, less judgmental, and more helpful to others. We may not change the world by doing right by our priorities — family, friends, and the people who depend on us — but at least we’ll make our own worlds so much better.

Wishing you the best of 2022
